Alerts & Warnings
Filing alerts, categories, and dispute process
What Are Alerts?
Alerts are serious warnings about contractors, subcontractors, customers, or vendors. Unlike reviews (which cover general quality), alerts address urgent issues: non-payment, safety concerns, fraud, contract violations, abandonment, and more. Alerts help protect the construction community from bad actors.
Filing an Alert
From your dashboard, navigate to Alerts and click "File Alert." You can target a platform user by searching their profile, or manually identify an off-platform party by name and business. Select the category, provide a detailed description, and upload evidence (photos, documents, contracts). Alerts with strong evidence are prioritized.
Alert Categories
Categories include: Non-Payment (unpaid invoices), Poor Quality Work, Poor Job Site Conditions, No-Show, Untimely Completion, Safety Concern, Fraud, Contract Violation, Abandonment, and Other. Choose the category that best describes the issue.
Disputing an Alert
If an alert has been filed against you, you can dispute it by providing your side of the story and supporting evidence. Reasons include: false claim, inaccurate information, resolved privately, mistaken identity, or defamatory. Our admin team reviews all disputes thoroughly.
