How reviews work, anti-abuse rules, and disputes
How Reviews Work
SubRanker uses a bidirectional review system. Contractors, subcontractors, and customers can all review each other. Each review includes a 1-5 star rating, a title, a detailed description, and optional flags for payment warnings or safety concerns. Reviews are the backbone of trust on the platform.
Anti-Abuse Protections
To maintain review integrity, we enforce: a maximum of 5 reviews per user per 24 hours, one review per reviewer-reviewee pair every 6 months, self-review prevention, automatic profanity and spam detection, contact information filtering, and automatic flagging when a review receives 3+ reports.
Editing and Disputing Reviews
Authors can edit their reviews within 48 hours of posting. If you believe a review is unfair, inaccurate, or violates our guidelines, you can file a dispute. Provide your reason, supporting evidence, and our admin team will review the dispute and take appropriate action.
Rating Aggregation
Your overall rating is automatically calculated and updated whenever reviews are created, edited, or moderated. The rating reflects the average of all published reviews about you, providing a reliable snapshot of your professional reputation.
